Even as more pictures and details of the Renault Duster facelift surface online ahead of its launch on July 8, 2019, we can now confirm another key detail. The Renault Duster facelift’s prices will start from Rs 7.99 lakh, which is the same starting price as that of the pre-facelift model currently on sale. That being said, the price of the top-spec variants may see a small hike on account of the addition of a handful of new features.

While the variant's line-up is set to remain more or less unchanged, an important addition will be the introduction of all-wheel drive on the mid-spec Duster RxS. Presently, AWD is only available on the fully-loaded Duster RxZ, which is priced at Rs 13.10 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). As it’ll miss out on a number of features compared to the RxZ, the RxS AWD version of the Duster facelift should be priced notably lower than the current Duster RxZ AWD.

The updated Duster has already been spied fully undisguised; and while most will be hard-pressed to find the changes, a closer look reveals projector headlights with LED DRLs, a redesigned, chrome-embellished grille, a new sculpted bonnet and a higher bonnet line (raised for the Duster to meet pedestrian protection norms), a redesigned front bumper, skid plates at the front and back, a new design for the alloy wheels and some plastic cladding for the tailgate.

The Renault Duster facelift's interior has also been updated. Notable changes include a new steering wheel and an upgraded infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility, rectangular AC vents on the centre console and a clever use of mock aluminium, chrome (gloss black on lower variants) and a dash insert that’s the same colour as the exterior. Also part of the Duster facelift’s exterior colour palette will be a new shade of blue.

Engine options will most likely remain unchanged with the upcoming Duster facelift, which means you’ll still get to choose between a 1.5-litre petrol and a 1.5-litre diesel engine. Gearbox options will include a 5-speed manual or CVT for the petrol and a 6-speed manual or AMT for the diesel.
