Honda SP 125 specifications

The Honda SP 125 is built around a single 123.94cc air-cooled engine producing 10.72bhp, paired with a 5-speed manual gearbox and a wet multiplate clutch, identical across both the STD and DLX variants. Fifth gear, near 100kph, behaves almost like an overdrive, a genuine point of difference in a segment still dominated by four-speed transmissions. Kerb weight is 116kg and seat height is 790mm.
 

Braking and instrumentation are where the entry model and range-topping model diverge. The STD STD uses drum brakes at both ends with a simple digital instrument cluster, along with 5-step adjustable rear suspension. The DLX DLX steps up to a 240mm front disc brake and a 4.2-inch TFT screen with Honda RoadSync, adding call and message alerts, navigation assist and a USB-C charging port. A combined braking system is standard on both.
 

Autocar India's road test flags the narrow 80/100 section tyres as tuned for fuel efficiency over outright cornering grip, consistent with the SP 125's positioning as a commuter first.
