The Hero Xoom 125 adopts a sharper and more mature design than the Xoom 110, giving it a sporty yet premium appearance. The 14-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels, sleek LED lighting and vibrant colour options help it stand out, while the external fuel filler and additional front storage add practicality. However, the quality of the plastics, switchgear and overall finish could be better, and the underseat storage is only large enough for a half-face helmet.

The Xoom 125 offers a comfortable riding position for everyday commuting, but its seat shape leaves room for improvement. Although the 777mm seat height is accessible, the wide seat makes it slightly difficult for shorter riders to flat-foot, while taller riders may feel cramped because the seat forces them to sit forward. Ride comfort is good for daily use, and the pillion seat provides adequate space for short journeys.

Powered by a 124.6cc air-cooled engine, the Xoom 125 delivers lively performance with strong low- and mid-range acceleration that suits city riding. The engine feels smooth and refined even at highway speeds, while its fuel efficiency of over 56kpl makes it economical to own. Although performance is among the best in the segment, the exhaust note lacks the sporty character that the scooter's styling suggests.

The Xoom 125 feels light, agile and confidence-inspiring in traffic as well as around corners. Its 14-inch wheels improve stability, while the suspension strikes a good balance between comfort and sporty handling. It remains composed with a pillion, although larger potholes can be felt. Braking performance is adequate, but the brake levers feel firm and offer limited feedback.

The top-spec ZX variant comes loaded with features, including sequential LED indicators, Bluetooth connectivity with navigation, USB charging, boot lighting and additional storage pockets. The LCD display is simple and easy to read, while the external fuel filler adds everyday convenience. However, the feature list would have felt more premium with a TFT display and better switchgear quality.
7
The Hero Xoom 125 successfully blends sporty styling, lively performance and everyday practicality into an attractive package. While the ergonomics, storage space and overall quality could be improved, it remains a well-priced and capable scooter for younger buyers looking for a stylish, fuel-efficient and fun urban commuter.
