Yamaha has unveiled the latest iteration of its Aerox scooter series in Indonesia, now sporting the "Alpha" moniker. The Aerox Alpha features a fresh design and new features.

Yamaha Aerox Alpha details
The Aerox Alpha now has a sharper and more aggressive design. The headlights feature integrated turn signals and are now upgraded to dual LED projectors. The rear is now redesigned, featuring a new LED taillight and LED indicators.
Yamaha offers the Aerox Alpha in four variants and 7 different colours. New features include a TFT speedometer, traction control, two riding modes, three shift modes and an Emergency Stop Signal (ESS), which flashes all indicators during sudden braking. The new TFT features Bluetooth connectivity, turn-by-turn navigation and gets three display modes.
It continues to be powered by the same 155cc motor that produces 15.4hp at 8,000rpm and a slightly higher 14.2Nm at 8,000rpm. Yamaha has equipped the updated Aerox with an Electric CVT (YECVT) transmission which was featured earlier on the NMAX Turbo. The YECVT allows riders to toggle between two riding modes (T Mode and S Mode) and three acceleration modes (Low, Medium, High) which can be controlled via the Y-Shift button.
While currently the updated Aerox is only available in Indonesia, it is likely that Yamaha could bring this update to India. We recently tested the updated Aerox in India which received a new feature and tweaked suspension.
