Updated Ather 450X, 450S to be launched on January 4

Ather Energy has revealed that the updated 450X and 450S will be launched on January 4. With the last update to the 450X having taken place just a few years ago and the 450S being launched less than two years ago, this is likely going to be a small update.

1. Range could increase with this update
2. New colours, features could be introduced
3. Prices will go up by Rs 3,000 - Rs 6,000

Ather 450X, 450S update details

The Ather 450 models are some of the sportiest, most fun to ride scooters on sale today, no matter the price bracket. With this update, we expect that the fundamentals such as the battery, motor, chassis and design won’t see any major changes, if at all. Ather could instead focus on giving the 450s more features as well as its latest operating software - AtherStack 6. 

Last week, co-founder of Ather, Tarun Mehta had posted on social media regarding this, with the word ‘Track-Tion’ plainly visible. This could allude to the possibility of the 450X and 450S getting traction control, as seen on the Rizta. And since the 450 Apex and Rizta now both come with Magic Twist, Ather’s proprietary active regenerative braking system, the 450s could also get this. And as is the case with most other updates, we could the Ather 450 models get new colours. Expect prices to go up by Rs 3,000 - Rs 6,000, for the 450s when they launch the day after tomorrow.
