The Ultraviolette X47, the Bengaluru-based EV manufacturer’s latest offering, was introduced last year in multiple variants, all of which featured the brand’s Hypersense radar system. Now, a new entry-level variant, simply called the X47, has been listed on the company’s website, expanding the line-up to six variants.

  1. X47 base variant offers 211km claimed IDC range
  2. With this new variant, X47 line-up expands to six variants

Ultraviolette X47 price and details

Absence of Hypersense radar system is the only difference from the Original

The new base X47 variant misses out on Ultraviolette Automotive’s Hypersense radar suite, which includes features such as rear collision warning, lane-change assist, overtake alerts and blind-spot detection.

Apart from that, specifications remain unchanged compared to the X47 Original, which previously served as the entry point into the range. The motorcycle continues to use the same 27kW electric motor, offering a claimed top speed of 145kph and a 0-60kph sprint time of 2.8 seconds. It also retains the 7.1kWh battery pack with a claimed IDC range of 211km.

Like the Original, the new base variant continues to offer dual-channel ABS, dynamic stability control, hill-hold and park assist as standard. The three riding modes – Glide, Combat and Ballistic – along with Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity, are also carried over unchanged.

The updated X47 line-up now stands as follows:

Good move; it cuts dependence on crude oil imports
I support it as it’s a greener solution than pure petrol
I’ll accept it only if it’s cheaper than E20 petrol
I am concerned about damage to my vehicle
