I own a 2013 Honda CBR250R, which is still in good condition. Is it time to sell it? I am considering the Ultraviolette X47, as my daily commute is around 34 km. Please suggest.

If your Honda CBR250R is in good condition and you aren't facing trouble servicing it or sourcing spare parts, then we'd advise you to hang on to it. After owning and loving my Yamaha MT-15 for the past 7 years, I'm finally looking for my next motorcycle, one I'll hopefully keep for the next 10+ years. I've test-ridden the new Duke, Speed 400, and Triumph Tracker 400. Duke: Absolutely loved its chassis, handling, braking, and confidence, but the aggressive styling and character aren't really my taste. Speed 400: Silky smooth, refined, and comfortable, but it didn't excite me enough. Tracker 400: My favourite among the Triumphs. I loved how naturally it leaned with my body and how confidently it absorbed bad roads. I just wished it had a bit more power and an even smoother drivetrain. These rides made me realise I'm looking for an enthusiast motorcycle, not just a comfortable commuter. Budget: Less than Rs 5 lakh (slightly stretchable). Could you please suggest the best bike to upgrade to for me?

Since you found the KTM 39O Duke too aggressive and the 350cc Triumph Speed / Tracker models a little bland, a good alternative to these is the Royal Enfield Guerrilla 450. Hi Autocar India Team, I would like to hear your suggestions for a new bike. I currently ride a 2012 Hero Splendor Plus, but it no longer suits my requirements. I ride about 100 km per day, of which 80 km is on the highway and the remaining 20 km is within the city. I am looking for a bike that offers a good balance of power and fuel efficiency, as it will be my daily commuter. It should also have a comfortable suspension so that I don't feel tired at the end of the day. I am 182 cm tall and well-built. Which bike would you recommend?

Since you have a long daily run, predominantly on the highway, we'd recommend you step up to something more powerful. Specifically, the Hero Xpulse 210 will be a good fit for your needs. It has great suspension, which will isolate you from the worst of our road imperfections; good performance on the highway and when ridden sensibly, it will also give you decent fuel economy. If you want to stick with a street-biased commuter, look at the Honda Unicorn and Bajaj Pulsar N160. These will feel more natural for you to ride and will return good fuel economy, although highway performance will be weaker than the Xpulse. The Pulsar N250 is also a good machine which would make sense for your use case.Take test rides of these bikes before you make your decision.

I would like to know if it is normal for a fully charged, unused Ather 450 X to lose 1-3 km of indicated range without being ridden.

Do not worry, it is completely normal to see a 1-3 km drop in the displayed range on your Ather 450 X after a full charge, even if the scooter has not been ridden. This is not a sign of battery degradation or a fault. What you are seeing is a combination of two things: battery self-discharge and the way the range estimator works. All lithium-ion batteries lose a tiny amount of charge when parked overnight or for a few days, even when the scooter has not been in use. More importantly, the range estimate is not a fixed number - it is a calculation based on the current state of charge and your recent riding patterns. Even a small change in battery percentage can cause the displayed range to drop by a few kilometres.

Hi, I would like your suggestion on a good bike for my needs. I am 40 years old, 5'9" tall, weigh 115 kg, and have a family. My daily commute is 72 km. The road conditions are around 6 out of 10, considering potholes and speed breakers. Traffic is above average; if I were to rate it on a scale of 1 to 10, where 1 is the least and 10 is the highest, I would rate it 7. I am open to both ICE and electric bikes.
