The Ultraviolette X-47 is the Bengaluru-based EV manufacturer’s latest offering and arguably its most appealing one yet. Like the F77, the X-47 is offered with two battery pack options – 7.1kWh and 10.3kWh – across six variants, with varying levels of features and tech. All variants share the same powertrain, though peak output figures and performance differ slightly, depending on battery capacity. The chassis and cycle parts, however, remain identical across the line-up. Here’s a breakdown of all variants – X-47, Original, Original+, Recon, Recon+ and Desert Wing – and what they offer:

Ultraviolette X-47

Prices for the Ultraviolette X-47 start at Rs 2.49 lakh

The X-47, the entry point into the range, is priced at Rs 2.49 lakh and uses the 7.1kWh battery pack with an IDC-rated range of 211km. It is powered by a 27kW (36hp) motor producing 90Nm at the motor and 550Nm at the rear wheel, with a claimed 0-60kph time of 2.8 seconds and a top speed of 145kph.

The key omission compared to every other variant in the line-up is the Hypersense radar system. It also ships with a standard external charger and Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity only – no LTE. Regenerative braking is limited to three levels and traction control to a single level; both are upgradeable at an additional cost. The variant comes with a 3-year/60,000km battery warranty and retains dual-channel ABS, dynamic stability control, hill-hold and park assist as standard.

Ultraviolette X-47 Original

Prices for the Ultraviolette X-47 Original start at Rs 2.64 lakh

The Original adds the Hypersense radar system, which includes rear-collision warning, lane-change assist, overtake alert and blind-spot detection as standard. It uses the same 7.1kWh battery pack and offers performance figures identical to the base X-47. Connectivity remains limited to Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, and it ships with a standard external charger. Regenerative braking and traction control levels are the same as the base variant. The battery warranty is 3 years/60,000km, extendable to 5 years/1,00,000km.

Ultraviolette X-47 Original+

Prices for the Ultraviolette X-47 Original+ start at Rs 3.09 lakh

The X-47 Original+ uses the same 7.1kWh battery pack and produces identical performance figures as the Original. What you’re paying the additional Rs 50,000 for is the added convenience and features. The Original+ swaps the bulky external charger for a more practical on-board charger, requiring only a lightweight charging cable. It also supports Ultraviolette’s Parallel Boost Charger for fast charging and includes access to the UV Supernova+ fast-charging network. LTE connectivity is standard here, along with 10 levels of regenerative braking and three levels of traction control.

Warranty coverage is also stronger with 5 years/1,00,000km as standard. Optional accessories such as crash protection, a tyre-pressure monitoring system (TPMS) and a dashcam module remain extras.

Ultraviolette X-47 Recon

Prices for the Ultraviolette X-47 Recon start at Rs 3.59 lakh

The Recon marks the step-up to the larger 10.3kWh battery pack, which delivers a claimed IDC range of 323km. Power output increases slightly to 30kW (40hp), with 100Nm from the motor and 610Nm at the wheel. Despite the added weight of the bigger battery, performance improves, with 0-60kph taking 2.7 seconds (claimed). Top speed remains at 145kph.

The base Recon includes a conventional charger and supports the optional Boost Charger for faster charging. Feature-wise, it’s on par with the Original+, with LTE connectivity, three riding modes, 10 levels of regenerative braking, three levels of traction control and all the safety aids – dual-channel ABS, dynamic stability control and the Hypersense radar.

The Recon also adds crash protection, including knuckle guards and a bull bar, as standard, alongside the longer 5-year/1,00,000km warranty.

Ultraviolette X-47 Recon+

Prices for the Ultraviolette X-47 Recon+ start at Rs 4.09 lakh

The X-47 Recon+ combines the larger 10.3kWh battery with the most comprehensive equipment list. It mirrors the Recon’s specs but replaces the standard charger with an on-board charger. Like the Original+, it supports the optional Parallel Boost Charger for fast charging.

Unique to the Recon+ are the TPMS and Ultraviolette’s ‘Violette AI’ system, which adds crash detection and theft alerts. However, even in this model, the front and rear dashcams (with the secondary display) remain optional extras.

Ultraviolette X-47 Desert Wing

Prices for the Ultraviolette X-47 Desert Wing start at Rs 4.59 lakh

The Desert Wing is the range-topper and is based on the Recon+, sharing all its specifications. What sets it apart is the exclusive Sandstorm colour scheme, a dashcam module, a soft-case pannier kit and the UV Care Max battery warranty of 8 years/8,00,000km included as standard, not an optional upgrade.
