TVS has launched a new variant of the Apache RTR 180, called the Race Edition, and priced it at Rs 83,233 (ex-showroom, Delhi).

The Race Edition costs Rs 550 more than the regular bike and sports a Pearl White colour scheme with race-inspired graphics. It also gets a carbon-fibre-effect trim that TVS says symbolises the racing intent and lightweight attributes of the RTR 180.

Petal disc brakes (270mm front/200mm rear) come as standard on the Race Edition, along with special rim stripes and a new 3D TVS logo. In addition to this, the blue-backlit digital instrument panel will feature a 0-60kph and lap timer, along with the usual features such as an odometer, tripmeter, service indicator and fuel gauge.

The Race Edition gets no mechanical updates, with the 177cc, single-cylinder motor producing 16hp at 8,500rpm and 15.5Nm of torque at 6,500rpm. The five-speed transmission has remained unchanged, too, and TVS claims a 0-60kph time of 4.96seconds and a top speed of 114kph for it.
