Suzuki Burgman new generation teased ahead of launch

The Burgman was launched back in 2018, and since then, it has proven to be a strong seller for Suzuki. It is often credited for kickstarting the pseudo-maxi scooter segment in India. Now, Suzuki has teased what seems to be a new generation of the Burgman on its social media, slated to launch on April 2.

1. Suzuki Burgman could receive updates similar to the new Access
2. Teased image reveals a new split-headlight setup
3. The Burgman range currently starts from Rs 93,676

Suzuki Burgman teased: What to expect?

The Burgman was launched back in 2018.

The Suzuki Burgman has been on sale for quite some years and it has largely remained the same. A larger 12-inch rear wheel – Street EX – variant was launched in 2022 but the brand hasn’t tinkered around with the design or fundamentals since launch. Suzuki has now teased the headlight of the upcoming new-gen Burgman. The brand has also confirmed that it will be launching this new generation on April 2.

The headlight reveals a new split design for our market that seems to be inspired by its higher-displacement models such as the Burgman 200 and Burgman 400. It seems like the Burgman could undergo a thorough generational change, like the Access received last year.

The Access received some substantial updates such as a new chassis that was developed due to complications with exhaust muffler routing. The Access also got a new engine; while the bore and stroke figures remained the same, there were many significant changes – a new camshaft, crankshaft and crankcase. However, at 8.4hp and 10.2Nm, its power figures remained unchanged. You could expect similar changes with Burgman-specific tweaks paired with an updated design language.

Currently, the Burgman range starts at Rs 93,676 and goes up to Rs 1.08 lakh for the Street EX that gets a larger 12-inch rear wheel. Suzuki will be launching this new-generation Burgman on April 2.
