Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 new variant
A new Royal Enfield naked motorcycle based on the Himalayan 450 has been spied testing. The latter has also been spotted testing previously, which confirms that a bigger Himalayan is in the works.

Upon closer inspection, we can see a liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine, and this could be similar to the one seen in the Himalayan 450 test mule. Other similarities include the chrome-ringed, circular instrument cluster, the front disc, turn indicators and saree guard. There is a chance that the fuel tank may also be similar to the Himalayan 450.

Coming to the differences, this test mule has alloy wheels – possibly a 17-inch or a 19-inch rim at the front. The bike also gets a telescopic fork instead of the Himalayan 450's USD fork, although both bikes get a monoshock at the rear. It is also possible that the Himalayan 450 and this test mule share the same frame. This test bike skips the windscreen and comes with a single-piece seat, instead of a split seat set-up as seen on the Himalayan 450.

Further details are unavailable as of now, but it is likely that this particular test bike represents a variant of the Himalayan 450 that will sit below it, and will be positioned as an easy urban commuter and highway tourer.

This bike could be called the Hunter 450 or the Scram 450. Nevertheless, it is early days and we don't expect to see the production version of this naked motorcycle anytime soon.
