Royal Enfield is gearing up to launch its new 750 line-up soon, it appears. After the Himalayan 750’s showcase at Himalayan Basecamp, the Continental GT 750 has again been spotted testing with a half-fairing, like we first saw nearly a year ago. Royal Enfield had earlier built a Continental GT-R 650 for its one-make championship, and we’d earlier broken the news that this upcoming model will be called the Continental GT-R 750.

  1. Twin-exhaust system is different from the Himalayan 750’s single exhaust
  2. Visually shares more details with the Bear 650 than Continental GT 650
  3. Likely to debut at EICMA 2026 with the Himalayan 750

New Continental GT 750: What can we see?

Front fairing, twin-exhaust, and possibly a new suspension setup

The heavily camouflaged test mule has been spotted in Chennai. From the images, we can spot the dual-front discs, which were also present on the Himalayan 750, and of course, the new parallel twin-cylinder engine, expected to displace close to 750cc. However, unlike the Himalayan’s single exhaust, this one sports a twin-exhaust system, like the current Continental GT 650. As is characteristic for a cafe racer, the front fairing doesn’t cover the bike’s engine bay and stops just below the fuel tank on either side. Also as expected of a cafe racer, the test bike has clip-on handlebars. The bike also features rounded bar-end mirrors that are currently available as an accessory for the GT 650.

The test bike’s side panels resemble the ones on the Bear 650. In the past, cafe racers have had numbered side panels, so this is a possible throwback to that. The non-faired version of the Continental GT test bikes had similar side panels to the GT 650. So, Royal Enfield could be looking to separate the GT and the GT-R beyond the half-fairing, but we’ll have to see if that will indeed be the case. The similarities to the Bear 650 continue to extend, with the subframe also looking similar, at least, visually. The twin-shock suspension’s springs, too, visually resemble the Bear 650’s progressive units. The Continental GT 650, for context, has linear springs. Although it could very well be limited to the test bike. Lastly, the rims are alloys, but knowing Royal Enfield, there should be a choice between alloys and wire-spokes.

We expect the motorcycle to sport a 750cc parallel-twin cylinder engine based on the existing 650cc engine. Like with the 650cc engine, the 750 could also have different states of tunes, based on which motorcycle it ends up powering. From these images, it is hard to make out what the instrument cluster looks like, but previous sightings had a single-pod, Himalayan 450-like TFT instrument cluster. This change would be in line with the Himalayan 750; and if that ends up being the case, it would be a major new addition as the GT 650 has stuck to a twin-pod, digi-analogue instrument cluster since its 2018 debut. The test bike does have a telescopic RSU fork, markedly different from the Himalayan 750’s USD telescopic fork. Although there’s no official launch timeline, we could expect it to make its official debut at EICMA 2026 alongside the Himalayan 750.
