Ola Electric CEO Bhavish Aggarwal has shared a few pictures on his social media account revealing two new developments. One image shows an Ola-branded removable battery pack, while the other gives a partial glimpse of the new B2B scooter, which is similar to the Yulu bikes we see zipping around metro cities these days.

  1. The new e-scooter appears to be targeted at the B2B market
  2. The scooter has simple underpinnings, will be a low-cost product
  3. Removable battery pack could also be seen on future Ola models

Earlier this year, Ola Electric filed a design patent for a utilitarian B2B electric scooter, and it seems that the company has now readied the same scooter for a market launch. Another interesting detail is that the scooter will use removable batteries, similar to its primary rival, the Yulu electric mopeds.

The upcoming Ola B2B e-scooter will have a barebones design. A luggage rack is visible, showing this will be a very practical, utilitarian offering. A drum rear brake and a hub-mounted motor are also visible, further reinforcing the fact that this is going to be a rather simple and low-cost product.

Coming to the battery pack, while it is certain that the B2B scooter will have removable batteries, this same pack could also find a home in future Ola Electric models. The company has several models in the pipeline under its new Gen 3 platform, which are due by January 2025. And it also showcased some funky-looking electric bikes, deliveries of which will begin next year.
