We recently rode the newly launched Ola S1 Air – currently the most affordable Ola EV. However, the company has more to share at its annual event tomorrow, August 15, and founder Bhavish Aggarwal has revealed that an electric motorcycle will also be unveiled.

Ola has been teasing that it is working on an electric motorcycle for some time now. What kind of motorcycle it will be remains to be seen, but based on the image shared by the company, it seems to have a sporty profile with a sharp and tall seat that is almost at the same height as the ‘fuel tank’ area. It is quite unlikely that Ola will produce an overtly sporty product with limited mass appeal, so it will be interesting to see what shape and form this scooter ends up taking. There is also the question of whether it will be based on a similar platform as the Ola S1 electric scooter or something new altogether.

What is likely is that the Ola Electric motorcycle will be revealed in a concept form and that the final production vehicle will still be some months away. With the S1 Air, for example, it was close to a year before the final production version went on sale.
