Hero MotoCorp has said that it will be increasing the ex-showroom prices of its motorcycles, starting January 1, 2018, to partially off-set the rising input costs. The price hike translates to about Rs 400 per model. The exact increase will vary, based on the model and its specific market.

Just a few days ago, Hero revealed three new commuter motorcycles for 2018 – the Super Splendor, Passion Pro and Passion XPro. All three motorcycles are part of the manufacturer’s largest brands and will be launched in a phased manner from January 2018. We can expect all three to be launched with the revised prices.

At the launch of these three motorcycles, Mr. Malo Le Masson – Head of Global Product Planning, Hero MotoCorp said, “With the launch of the new Passion Pro, Passion XPro and Super Splendor, we aim to further consolidate our leadership in the 100-125cc segments. These new motorcycles come with bold styling and more power, while still retaining their product DNA; and will surely be appreciated by the customers.”

As we know, Hero is planning to re-enter the smaller adventure motorcycle segment with the XPulse. Mr Masson also went on to say that the company will now shift its focus to increase its market share in the premium segment; this should make 2018 an exciting year, for Hero. We can expect to see and hear a lot more from Hero MotoCorp at the Auto Expo 2018.
