2025 Hero Glamour X

Hero MotoCorp has launched the new Glamour X commuter motorcycle in India, introducing cruise control for the first time in this segment, at a price of Rs 90,000 (ex-showroom, Delhi)

  1. Hero Glamour X becomes India’s first commuter bike with cruise control
  2. Powered by a 124.7cc single-cylinder engine with a 5-speed gearbox

Hero Glamour X: design and features

Features design updates compared to the standard Glamour

After a lot of speculation and spy shots, Hero has launched the Glamour X. It carries forward the familiar commuter styling of the Glamour series but adds subtle updates to distinguish itself. In terms of design, it now gets more muscular bodywork and is available in five colours.

The Glamour X gets a taller black tinted windscreen, but Hero also offers a shorter one as an accessory. The handlebar is now 30mm wider, while the seat is now more spacious.

The seat height has now decreased and sits at 790mm, while ground clearance remains at 170mm. Hero has also added some underseat storage for documents or small items.

The biggest talking point here is cruise control, making the Glamour X the first commuter motorcycle in India to offer this technology, as well as the most affordable one. Thanks to the new ride-by-wire throttle, the Glamour X now gets cruise control and three riding modes (Power, Road and Eco). These modes do not limit the top speed but alter the mapping based on whichever mode you select. Alongside this, it gets an adaptive colour LCD with Bluetooth connectivity.

In terms of lighting, it gets a new LED headlight and tail-light design, with the tail-light taken directly from the Xtreme 250R. The headlight has an ambient light sensor and will auto-adjust. Meanwhile, the indicators get a panic brake alert function, similar to the Xtreme 250R.

Hero Glamour X: engine and chassis

Powering the Glamour X is the same 124.7cc single-cylinder engine as the Xtreme 125R, and here it produces the same 11.5hp and 10.5Nm, while being paired with a 5-speed gearbox.

The motorcycle is suspended via a conventional telescopic front fork and twin shock absorbers at the rear. Braking duties are handled by a 240mm disc and a 130mm drum. However, there are no single-channel ABS variants on offer, unlike the Xtreme 125R.

Hero Glamour X: price and rivals

Hero has priced the Glamour X at Rs 90,000 for the Drum variant and Rs 1 lakh for the Disc variant (ex-showroom, Delhi). At this price point, it is Rs 2,800 more expensive than the outgoing Glamour and just Rs 499 more expensive than the Glamour Xtec.
