Hero Glamour X teased

Last month, we reported that a Hero Glamour has been spotted with cruise control and a different set of switchgear. Hero has now teased an update to the Glamour, while another set of images has surfaced online ahead of its August 19 launch.

  1. Hero Glamour X to get cruise control – a first-in-class feature in the 125cc segment
  2. To feature Xtreme 250R’s tail-lamp and Xpulse 210’s switchgear
  3. Expected to use the same 124.7cc engine as the Glamour Xtec

Hero has also dropped an official teaser

Hero has released a teaser of its upcoming Glamour X, revealing a few design details and its launch date – August 19. The bike will get a tail-lamp similar to the Xtreme 250R, LED indicators and a new LCD dash, also borrowed from the Xtreme. A small wind deflector will sit above the instrument cluster.

Leaked images circulating on social media confirm the ‘Glamour X’ moniker, suggesting that this variant will sit above the standard Glamour rather than replace it. The switchgear, lifted from the Xpulse 210, now incorporates cruise control – a first-in-class offering that will make it the most affordable motorcycle in India with cruise control. Currently, the TVS Apache RTR 310 is the least expensive bike with this feature. The segmented colour LCD further reveals a ‘Road’ mode, hinting that multiple riding modes could be offered.

The Glamour X is expected to use the same 124.7cc single-cylinder air-cooled engine as the Glamour Xtec, which produces 10.8hp and 10.6Nm and comes paired with a 5-speed gearbox.

One point of interest will be whether Hero uses ride-by-wire technology to implement cruise control. While that is the most common method, it could add to costs – a concern in the price-sensitive 125cc segment. Currently, the Glamour Xtec retails at Rs 95,058 (ex-showroom, Delhi), and it remains to be seen how Hero positions the Glamour X. The two-wheeler major is going to launch the Glamour X at its official event on August 19.
