Harley-Davidson has revised prices across its entire X440 lineup, with all three variants – the Vivid, S and T – receiving hikes of varying amounts. The X440 T is the newest addition to the range, having been introduced in December last year, and this marks its first price increase. Of the three variants, it also receives the largest hike.

Harley-Davidson X440 price hike details

The revised prices widen the gap between the X440 range and its key rivals

The X440 lineup consists of three variants that share the same 440cc single-cylinder, air/oil-cooled engine producing 27hp and 38Nm, paired with a 6-speed gearbox.

The Vivid, which serves as the entry point into the range, receives the smallest increase of Rs 1,000, taking its price to Rs 2.36 lakh. Next, the X440 S, previously priced at Rs 2.55 lakh, is now dearer by Rs 4,000 at Rs 2.59 lakh.

Finally, the range-topping X440 T receives the largest increase of Rs 5,000 and now costs Rs 2.84 lakh. The T also offers the most comprehensive equipment package in the lineup, with ride-by-wire throttle, two riding modes, switchable traction control and switchable ABS. It also gets a redesigned rear subframe, revised tail section and reworked grab rails.

The price hike is likely to be felt most keenly on the X440 T. Even before this revision, it was among the most expensive motorcycles in its segment, and the increase only widens the gap to rivals such as the Triumph Tracker 400 (Rs 2.53 lakh), Honda CB350RS (Rs 1.98 lakh onwards) and Royal Enfield Classic 350 (Rs 1.86 lakh-2.21 lakh).
