BS6 Benelli TRK 502X launched, prices start at Rs 5.2 lakh

The BS6 Benelli TRK 502X has been launched at an introductory price of Rs. 5.2 lakh (ex-showroom, India.) At this price, the off-road oriented TRK 502X is Rs 40,000 more expensive than its road-biased sibling, the TRK 502, which was launched back in January.

The ADV will also be available in a Pure White and Benelli Red colour scheme that will cost you another Rs 10,000 at Rs 5.3 lakh.

Just like with the TRK 502X, the BS6-compliant model has received some notable updates, apart from the updated emission norm-compliant engine.

    Updated Benelli TRK 502X features

Some of the updates that the new TRK 502X has received, and shares with its sibling, are an updated instrument cluster, new handguards, a textured finish on the back of the mirrors and a body-colored front mudguard. The instrument cluster continues to be a digi-analogue unit and uses the same layout, but the analogue tachometer and small digital display are now backlit.

The switches are different as well and appear notably more premium than the ones on the previous model and, these too, are now backlit.

Hardware like the 110/80 section tyre on the 19-inch front wheel and 150/70 section tyre on the 17-inch rear wheel have been carried over from the previous generation, along with the brakes and suspension.

    Updated Benelli TRK 502X engine

The BS6 TRK 502X is powered by the same 499.6cc, liquid-cooled, parallel-twin engine and peak output figures remain identical as well, at 47.5hp at 8,500rpm and 46Nm of torque at 6,000rpm.

    Updated Benelli TRK 502X price

As we mentioned earlier, prices for the TRK 502X start at Rs 5.2 lakh (ex-showroom). Dealerships across the country are accepting bookings for Rs 10,000 and deliveries have begun, as well. The TRK comes with a 3-year/unlimited km warranty.

At its price point, the TRK 502X is notably more affordable than its most direct rivals - the Kawasaki Versys 650 (Rs 6.79 lakh) and the Suzuki V-Strom 650 XT (Rs 8.84 lakh), and even the recently launched Honda CB500X (Rs 6.87 lakh).
