The Hyundai Creta celebrates its 10-year anniversary, with the first-gen model having launched on July 21, 2025.

A 190mm ground clearance, attractive design, and good choice of powertrains made the first-gen Creta an instant hit.

The first-gen Creta came with a loaded feature list, including a 7-inch infotainment touchscreen, leather upholstery, push-button start, and more.

The first major facelift for the Creta arrived in May 2018.

The 2018 Creta facelift featured a refreshed grille, revised bumpers, new alloy wheels, updated headlights and tail-lamps, and more.

Hyundai introduced a sunroof, powered driver's seat, wireless charger, smart key band, etc in the 2018 Creta facelift.

The second-gen Creta launched in March 2020 with lots of tech and feature upgrades, as well as more powertrains.

The split design of the second-gen Creta's headlights and tail-lamps incited mixed opinions.

The second-gen Creta's cabin got a larger touchscreen, panoramic sunroof, ventilated front seats, and more.

Hyundai facelifted the second-gen Creta in January 2024, addressing the styling complaints of the prior model.

Aside from the design changes, the 2024 Creta facelift got a stronger 160hp, 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine.

A new dual-screen setup, Level 2 ADAS, 360-deg camera, and dual-zone climate control were added to the 2024 Creta facelift.

The Creta N Line was launched two months after the 2024 facelift went on sale.

Hyundai equips the Creta N Line with a sportier body kit, and is available solely with the 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine.

Inside, the Creta N Line gets a new three-spoke steering wheel, sportier gear levers, red accents, and all-black upholstery.

The Creta Electric debuted in January 2025 as Hyundai's first mass-market EV for India.

The Creta Electric sports pixel design elements on the bumpers, aero-optimised wheels, and active aero flaps in the fascia.

The cabin of the Creta Electric gets a floating centre console and a unique steering wheel.

Today marks precisely 10 years since the Hyundai Creta first went on sale in India. Launched in 2015, the first-gen Creta was a trailblazer in every sense thanks to its aggressive pricing, attractive looks, feature-packed interiors, broad choice of powertrains, and easy-to-drive nature. Every version of the Creta since then has built substantially on most, if not all, of these qualities, and simultaneously made the midsize SUV segment the heart of the Indian mass market.
