Audi has launched the SQ8 SUV in India at Rs 1.78 crore (introductory, ex-showroom), positioning it between the standard Q8 and the more powerful RS Q8 variants. It gets a detuned version of the RS Q8’s 4-litre twin-turbo V8 engine, which produces 507hp and 770Nm. Audi claims a 0-100kph timing of 4.1 seconds and an electronically limited top speed of 250kph with the SQ8. It gets some sportier exterior design elements than the regular Q8, while featuring a similar cabin layout, albeit with some ‘S’ badges. It is equipped with Matrix LED headlights as standard, functional air intakes on the front bumper, 21-inch alloy wheels, and connected OLED taillights and twin exhaust outlets on both sides of the rear bumper. It can seat up to 5 passengers, and with the two rows up, it offers a boot space of 604 litres.
