Audi has unveiled the near-production prototype of its all-new Nuvolari. Named after one of the most celebrated racing drivers of the 1930s, Tazio Nuvolari, this is the German marque’s first supercar with a high-performance hybrid powertrain (and is borrowed from the Lamborghini Temerario). Limited to just 499 units, the production-ready Audi Nuvolari will use a 4.0-litre bi-turbo V8 that can rev up to 10,000rpm and three electric motors for a total output of 1,001hp. Audi claims that the Nuvolari’s top speed will be more than 350kph.
