The Pulsar N160 is the middle child in Bajaj’s latest-gen N Pulsar family and competes in the hotly contested 150-160cc sporty commuter bike space in India. The Pulsar N160 is offered in four variants with the mechanicals largely being the same and a few features separating the quartet of trims to choose from. Here, we’ll give you an overview of what each variant brings to the table and how much it costs.

Bajaj Pulsar N160 variant breakdown
Twin disc.
The base variant of the Bajaj Pulsar N160 comes with the same engine, frame and swingarm as the higher variants but only has single-channel ABS – albeit a rear disc brake is offered. Power is supplied by a 165cc, air-cooled, single-cylinder, 2-valve engine making 16hp and 14.6Nm – this stays constant throughout the line-up.
Being the base variant, it comes with a single-piece seat and a conventional telescopic fork. It is available in four colours – red, white, black and silver – and costs Rs 1.14 lakh.
Dual-channel ABS.
The next stepping stone in the Pulsar N160 line-up is the variant with dual-channel ABS. In addition to this useful safety net, this variant also comes with split seats for both the rider and pillion, and a different colour palette.
Three paint schemes are on offer – white, blue and black – and this dual-channel ABS variant costs Rs 1.17 lakh, just Rs 3,000 more than the base variant. This seems like a small price to pay for a helpful safety net.
Single seat (with USD).
Sitting above the dual-channel ABS variant is the Pulsar N160’s single-seat variant, which comes with a flashy golden USD fork. Originally, the USD fork was only offered on the range-topping variant that has split seats, but owing to customer preference for a single seat, Bajaj introduced this feel-good feature on this variant while combining the comfort a single-piece seat offers.
Do bear in mind that this variant only comes with single-channel ABS and at Rs 1.24 lakh, is Rs 10,000 more than the base variant with which it is mostly similar, except for the inverted front fork.
Dual-channel ABS (with USD)
The flagship variant of the Pulsar N160 comes with the aforementioned golden USD fork and brings in the safety net of dual-channel ABS. It also gets split seats like the regular dual-channel ABS variant and comes in four colours – red, white, black and blue.
At Rs 1.26 lakh, it is just Rs 2,000 more than the variant below it and comes with the useful safety net of dual-channel ABS.
