The 390 Adventure X is a more road-biased model compared to the 390 Adventure, which was built for hardcore off-road riding. Here is all you need to know about the bike if you are currently in the market to buy one.

What engine does the KTM 390 Adventure X use and what are the power figures?

The bike uses the same engine seen in the 390 Adventure which is a 398.63cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine producing 46hp at 8,500rpm and a peak torque of 39Nm at 6,500rpm. This engine is mated to a six-speed gearbox and gets a bi-directional quickshifter as standard.

What is the fuel tank capacity, kerb weight and seat height of the KTM 390 Adventure X?

The bike has a fuel tank capacity of 14.5 litres and a kerb weight of 181kg. The seat height stands at 825mm, which is 5mm shorter than the 390 Adventure.

What features does the KTM 390 Adventure X get?

The 390 Adventure X was originally offered with a TFT screen and a bi-directional quickshifter in terms of features. An updated model was rolled out soon after where the bike received riding modes, cruise control and cornering ABS as well. It also features switchable ABS, a slipper clutch and a USB charging port.

7 Things to know before buying a KTM 390 Adventure X

What are the main differences between the KTM 390 Adventure X and the 390 Adventure?

The 390 Adventure X uses a 19-inch front and a 17-inch rear alloy wheel with tubeless tyres, compared to the 21-inch front and 17-inch rear tubeless spoke wheels on the 390 Adventure. Additionally, the X misses out on adjustability for rebound and compression damping. The Adventure X makes the most sense for someone who is planning on spending most of their time on tarmac and not off-road.

What is the suspension travel on the KTM 390 Adventure X?

The bike gets 200mm of travel at the front and 205mm of travel at the rear, which is the same as the 390 Adventure.

What colour options are available on the KTM 390 Adventure X?

Currently, the bike is available in two colour schemes including Electronic Orange and Ceramic White.

What is the price of the KTM 390 Adventure X?

The 390 Adventure X is priced at Rs 2.38 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), making it Rs 69,000 more affordable than the 390 Adventure.
