Kawasaki recently launched the Z650 S, which follows the Sugomi design like its larger sibling, the Z900. The new motorcycle will be sold alongside the standard Z650.

What engine does the Kawasaki Z650 S use?

The Z650 S is powered by the same 649cc, liquid-cooled, parallel-twin engine as the standard Z650, which makes 68hp at 8,000rpm and 64Nm of torque at 6,700rpm. It is paired with a 6-speed gearbox.

What is the price of the Kawasaki Z650 S in India?

The Kawasaki Z650 S is priced at Rs 7.59 lakh (ex-showroom, India), which is Rs 33,000 more expensive than the standard Z650 (Rs 7.26 lakh).

How does the Kawasaki Z650 S compare to the Z650?

Both motorcycles share their core components like the engine and chassis. The difference comes down mainly to cosmetic changes and a few feature additions. The new Z650 S follows the Sugomi design, which includes a wider forward-set handlebar, new headlight, tail light and bodywork along with a new 4.3-inch TFT display with turn-by-turn navigation.
But one thing to note is that the brake rotors are smaller here: the front dual discs are 272mm units instead of 300mm, while the rear disc has gone down from 220mm to 186mm.

What is the seat height and weight of the Kawasaki Z650 S?

The Kawasaki Z650 S features a taller stance and a heavier build than the standard Z650. The Z650 S has a seat height of 805mm (15 mm higher than the Z650's 790 mm) and weighs 193kg (5 kg more than the base model's 188kg).

What features does the Kawasaki Z650 S have?

It gets a new 4.3-inch TFT instrument cluster with smartphone connectivity through Kawasaki’s Rideology app. Rider aids include dual channel ABS, slip-and-assist clutch and adjustable traction control. Kawasaki also offers a bi-directional quickshifter as an accessory.
