Follow usThe Tata Nexon EV remains one of the most popular electric vehicles that the Indian carmaker currently sells. Positioned between the Punch EV and Curvv EV, the Nexon EV offers compelling pricing, loads of features and capable powertrains. Let’s take a look at the 2025 Nexon EV range.
The 2025 Nexon EV price starts at Rs 12.49 lakh and tops off at Rs 17.49 lakh. Tata sells the Nexon EV in eight core trim levels – Creative, Creative+, Fearless, Fearless+, Fearless+ S, Empowered, Empowered+ and Empowered+ A – which are equipped with a 30kWh battery in ‘MR’ (Medium Range) guise and a 45kWh unit in the ‘45’ variants. Notably, while the Nexon EV 45 buyers get a lifetime warranty on the battery, those opting for the MR get a standard 8-year/1,60,000km warranty.

Torque output is 215Nm for both. Tata claims a 0-100kph time of 9.2 seconds for the 30kWh Nexon EV and 8.9 seconds for its 45kWh variants.
Coming to the range, the Nexon EV MR delivers a claimed figure of 275km, while the larger battery in the 45 variants ekes out a much higher 489km on a single charge. The Nexon EV battery can be charged via 3.3kW and 7.2kW AC wall-box chargers, with the latter completing a 10 to 100 percent top-up in just over 4.25 hours for the 30kWh battery and 6.50 hours for the 45kWh unit. Up to 60kW DC fast charging is also supported, which takes just 40 minutes to take the 45kWh battery from 10 percent level to 80 percent.
The Nexon EV is available in 10 dual-tone colour options: Creative Ocean with white roof, Daytona Grey with black roof, Daytona Grey with white roof, Empowered Oxide with black roof, Fearless Purple with black roof, Flame Red with black roof, Flame Red with white roof, Intensi Teal with black roof, Pristine White with black roof, and Pristine White with white roof.
All four white roof colours are available solely in the Nexon EV Creative trims, while the black roof options are reserved for the Empowered and Fearless trims. The Intensi Teal and Empowered Oxide finishes are also exclusive to the top-spec Nexon EV Empowered trims, while the Fearless Purple colour can be had with the Fearless trim only. There’s also a Red Dark version of the Empowered+ variants, which sports a black finish inside and out with blacked-out wheels and trims, as well as red highlights.
Inside, the Nexon EV gets a black-and-white colour scheme in the Creative and Empowered trims, save for the former’s Creative Ocean colour, which matches some of the interior trim with the exterior finish. The same holds true for the Fearless Purple in the Nexon EV Fearless trims, which gets purple seats, dashboard trim, steering wheel insert and door liners. Otherwise, the Fearless trim levels get an all-black interior, and so do the Red Dark variants, albeit with red seats.

The Nexon EV is quite well-equipped from the base variant onwards, but if you want to maximise value for money, the Empowered trims offer pretty much every creature comfort expected at their price points, including ventilated front seats, leatherette upholstery, a sunroof, a 360-degree camera, a blind-spot monitor, and more.
If you’re on a tighter budget and can do without those features, the Nexon EV Fearless+ MR variant is Rs 1 lakh cheaper and represents good value too. Should you want Level 2 ADAS, though, the newly launched Nexon EV Empowered+ A 45 variant is your only choice.
