The 1.3-litre turbopetrol-powered mid-spec Techno variants of the Renault Duster cost around Rs 2.5 lakh less than the top-spec Iconic options. However, a smaller-capacity 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine on the Techno makes it Rs 3.5 lakh more affordable than the lowest Iconic variant.

Renault Duster Techno vs Iconic trim: What should you choose?

The Techno offers a better value-for-money proposition than the Iconic.

Even though it is a mid-spec trim, the Techno offers a well-loaded feature suite with dual digital displays, a panoramic sunroof, dual-zone climate control, 6 speakers and all-LED lighting. While it misses a bigger digital driver’s display, front parking sensors, and a 360-degree camera, it gets its basics sorted. With a price lower by up to Rs 3.5 lakh, the Techno definitely offers a lot of value and is the recommended trim in this comparison if you are okay with letting go of some features.

Prices are ex-showroom, India.
