    Hyderabad E-Prix track layout

The Hyderabad Street Circuit is located alongside the Hussain Sagar lake and winds through the surrounding streets. A revised track layout was revealed earlier this year for the Indian Racing League, and the Formula E cars will race on a similar layout with small tweaks.

The track is slightly longer now at 2.83km, and features 18 turns.

What else can you expect at the Hyderabad E-Prix?

Aside from the one-track action, there will also be the Allianz Fan Village – a staple for all Formula E races. While specific details for Hyderabad haven’t been revealed, the Fan Village usually features a gaming area, where fans can try their hand at virtual racing, and food courts.

    2023 Formula E season: what's new?

The 2023 Formula E season kicks off with the Mexico City E-Prix on January 14. This will be followed by two rounds in Diriyah, before the grid heads to Hyderabad for Round 4.

It’s a crucial season for the championship as it marks the debut of the all-new Gen3 cars. They’re Formula E’s most powerful and fastest cars yet, delivering 350kW (476hp) and 320kph. Chassis changes and the addition of both front and rear powertrains promise to produce even better racing on track. But we’ll have to wait to see if the Gen3 cars deliver on this promise.

The Hyderabad E-Prix will also see Indian team Mahindra Racing race on home soil for the first time. While familiar names like Mahindra and Jaguar are still part of the grid, the 2023 season has several new additions, with McLaren and Maserati joining the fray. ABT Sportsline has also teamed up with Spanish carmaker CUPRA for its Formula E return. They’ll also be Mahindra’s first-ever customer team in the championship.
