F1 2025 car liveries

All 10 Formula 1 teams have unveiled their 2025 season liveries at the F1 75 live event. Fans will have to wait a bit longer to see the actual 2025-spec cars though, with teams simply showcasing their new liveries with show cars.

So, which team has the best looking car on the grid? Scroll on to take a closer look.

McLaren

McLaren already gave fans a glimpse of its 2025 F1 challenger, the MCL39, earlier this month. However, that was with a special camo livery.

The reigning world champion team’s official 2025 livery sticks to the papaya orange and black theme of its predecessor. McLaren’s also one of the few teams to retain its driver line-up, with Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri staying on to battle it out for top honours once again.

Ferrari

Ferrari drivers: Charles Leclerc, Lewis Hamilton

The major change on Ferrari’s 2025 livery is the addition of the HP logo with a large white stripe across the engine cover. The team even released renders of its actual 2025 race car later, with Team Principal Fred Vasseur describing it as 99 percent new compared to the 2024 car.

The biggest change is the switch from push-rod to pull-rod suspension. Ferrari says this is done to clean up the airflow around the car, “while also giving greater scope for further aero development, which had pretty much been exhausted with the previous iteration.”

Red Bull

Red Bull drivers: Max Verstappen, Liam Lawson

Red Bull has more or less stayed consistent with its livery throughout the years, so it’s not surprising to see the RB21 carrying its traditional colours. The team will be hoping to reclaim the constructors’ title this year, while Max Verstappen is gunning for his fifth straight title.

Mercedes

Mercedes drivers: George Russell, Andrea Kimi Antonelli

Mercedes continues with its black and silver livery, although the W16 sports some more silver on the engine cover and flanks. The team’s actual 2025 car will be revealed on February 24, ahead of its first on-track running the next day in Bahrain.

Aston Martin

Aston Martin drivers: Fernando Alonso, Lance Stroll

Aston Martin sticks with its traditional Aston green racing colour, but its new livery features a lot more black. It remains to be seen if this is just a stylistic choice or points to a potential weight issue.

The AMR25 car will be revealed on February 23 in an online launch, a day before its first track outing at Bahrain.

Alpine

Alpine drivers: Pierre Gasly, Jack Doohan

Alpine has gone in the opposite direction compared to Aston Martin and added more paint to its 2025 challenger, which sports a distinctive blue and pink livery.

“The A525 is a continued evolution of the A524 where we have refined some details and aimed to improve some weaknesses in order to find more performance,” said executive technical director David Sanchez. “We changed direction last year, which allowed us more scope to push the limit on development and we have been pleased with how this has progressed so far. Now we aim to maximise this car’s evolution and progress the overall package in its current form as far as we can.”

Haas

Haas drivers: Esteban Ocon, Oliver Bearman

Haas has come forth with a new take on its traditional colours of white, black and red, with much less naked carbon than last year.

Earlier this week, the team also shared on-track images of the actual VF-25. These images confirmed that Haas will stick with the 2024-spec push-rod front suspension supplied by Ferrari, rather than taking its new pull-rod version.

Racing Bulls

Racing Bulls drivers: Yuki Tsunoda, Isack Hadjar

Red Bull’s sister team has changed its name once again, with the outfit now being called Racing Bulls. To match its new identity, the team also revealed a significantly updated livery featuring a lot more white.

Japanese driver Yuki Tsunoda returns for this fifth season with the team, and will be joined by 20-year-old rookie Isack Hadjar.

Williams

Williams drivers: Alex Albon, Carlos Sainz

Williams has gone for an all-blue livery for its 2025 car. Of course, there is added branding from software firm Atlassian, which joins the team as its first title sponsor in five years.

Alex Albon stays with the team, and he’ll be driving alongside Carlos Sainz, who joins the team after a four-year stint with Ferrari.

Kick Sauber

2025 will be a transition period for Sauber, with the team set to become Audi’s works F1 outfit from 2026 onwards. The C45 continues using bright green, with the livery fading to black towards the rear.
