Audi R8 is India’s fastest car
Pachigalla wins Indian National Drag Racing title in unrestricted class
Tuned by Tony Palo from T1, and built by Modcrew and Venom Performance, Pachigalla’s Audi R8 V10+ is equipped with a twin-turbo setup producing over 1,600hp. It officially became India’s fastest car in December 2024, setting a time of 9.21 seconds at The Valley Run. With this, Pachigalla broke Gautam Singhania’s longstanding record of 9.278 seconds, set in 2008 in a drag-spec Nissan Skyline GT-R.
Pachigalla then further improved on that time just earlier this year, clocking a time of 8.849 seconds, making his R8 the first car to dip under the 9-second mark. He’s now shaved another 0.156 seconds off that time.
Along with setting a new India record, Pachigalla clinched the FMSCI Indian National Drag Racing title in the unrestricted class. His team, Modcrew, took top honours in the teams’ unrestricted class as well. Imran Majid finished second overall, just 5.5 points behind Pachigalla.
