F1 Mexico GP India timings

F1 heads to Mexico City for Round 20 and it’s a three-way battle for the drivers’ title. Verstappen’s resurgent form has seen him close the gap to championship leader Oscar Piastri to 40 points. Will he close that gap further this weekend, or will McLaren bounce back?

On the other side of the world, Sepang will host the last of MotoGP’s flyaway races this season. Here is your complete guide on when and where to tune in from India:

Max Verstappen heads to the Mexico GP in top form, having finished in the top two in the last five races (winning three of those). He’s now 40 points behind championship leader Oscar Piastri. And with five more rounds (including two sprint races) coming up, he’s very much in the title mix. Mexico has traditionally been a strong venue for Verstappen, but he admits that Red Bull will have to be “perfect until the end” to have any chance at clinching the drivers’ title.

McLaren, on the other hand, endured a difficult US GP with a double DNF in the sprint. Piastri hasn’t finished on the podium in the last three races, and as a result, his lead over teammate Lando Norris is down to just 14 points. So, one good or bad race could change the entire championship picture.

Another thing to watch out for this weekend is FP1, with nine rookies taking to the track. This includes Indycar racer Pato O’Ward (McLaren), 2024 Le Mans winner Antonio Fuoco (Ferrari) and F2 racer Arvid  Lindblad (Red Bull).

2025 MotoGP Malaysian GP

We’ve seen seven different race winners so far this season, and that number could very well become eight at this weekend’s Malaysian GP. Marc Marquez has confirmed that he won’t race again this year, as he continues recovering from the shoulder injury he sustained at the Indonesian GP. This does leave the door open for a brand new race winner to be crowned at Sepang.

Marc already wrapped up the title back in September, and his younger brother Alex Marquez looks set to clinch second place. His closest rival is Aprilia’s Marco Bezzecchi, who is 97 points behind.
