TVS to launch four new Norton bikes by FY2025-26, starting with 1200cc flagship

TVS Motor is set to introduce four new Norton motorcycles across the UK, India and key European markets by the end of FY2025-26. The first in line will be a flagship 1200cc 4-cylinder superbike, the company confirmed in its annual report.

  1. TVS to launch a Norton flagship 1200cc, 4-cylinder motorcycle as its first offering
  2. Select future models expected to be manufactured at TVS’ Hosur plant

TVS plans a global Norton relaunch

Leading the charge is the 1200cc flagship superbike

TVS acquired the iconic British brand Norton Motorcycles in 2020 for around Rs 150 crore, aiming to strengthen its global presence, particularly in high-performance markets like Europe and North America. The Norton revival is a key part of TVS’ push into the premium two-wheeler space.

The company says these upcoming products will help diversify its portfolio and boost profit margins, aligning with earlier reports that six new models are on the cards by next year. Norton currently sells three motorcycles – Commando 961, V4SV and V4CR – all built at the company’s Solihull facility in the UK. Under TVS ownership, however, select future models are expected to be manufactured at the Hosur plant in Tamil Nadu.

Recently, Norton posted a teaser showing the tail-light of its upcoming 1200cc bike, with the unveil date set for November 4, 2025, which also happens to be the first day of EICMA, suggesting that the launch could take place at the event. Shortly after, we reported that the flagship 1200cc bike was spotted testing, ridden by TVS MD Sudarshan Venu.

TVS says the past five years of ownership have involved fulfilling legacy orders using re-engineered versions of the Commando and V4 platforms. The upcoming line-up will mark a fresh chapter for the 126-year-old brand.
