The next-generation Norton V4 superbike has been spied undergoing rounds of testing in the UK, with TVS Motor Company MD Sudarshan Venu himself seen riding it. This is the model scheduled to make its official debut on November 4.

The test mule has the same tail-light as the teaser

Shortly after we reported that TVS had teased a new Norton model, shots of the V4 superbike testing have been circulating on the internet. The prototype reveals design details and confirms that it is the same bike Norton teased earlier – the tail-light is an exact match to the teaser image shared on the brand’s social media channels.

Visually, Norton’s V4 has taken a big step forward from its V4 SV predecessor. The bike now sports a sharper LED headlamp setup, moving away from the curvy, old-school units seen on the earlier model. The mirrors also appear to be new.

One of the most significant changes is the switch to a Panigale V4-style underbelly exhaust, replacing the previous side-mounted unit. This not only cleans up the rear three-quarter view but should also help with weight distribution and centralisation of mass.

Powering the bike will be Norton’s familiar 1,200cc, 72-degree V4 engine, though substantial reengineering is expected. While official specs remain under wraps, the engine is now likely to be compliant with Euro 5+ norms. A full suite of electronics is expected, including ride-by-wire, a six-axis IMU, multiple riding modes, traction control, and cornering ABS.

The chassis should continue to feature a twin-spar aluminium frame, suspended by Ohlins front forks – likely semi-active electronic suspension – and a monoshock, with Brembo’s latest Hypure monobloc calipers anchoring the bike.

TVS has already announced that Norton will make its official India entry by the end of 2025, and the V4 is expected to be the first model to arrive. It is likely to be launched as a completely built unit (CBU), with pricing expected to match that of Ducati’s Panigale V4 (Rs 30 lakh-Rs 36.50 lakh, ex-showroom) if not even higher.

This V4 is just the beginning – TVS and Norton have confirmed that five more all-new models are under development, including mid-capacity singles and parallel twins aimed at a global audience.
