Mumbai: Petrol at an all-time high at Rs 116.70 per litre

Petrol price at all-time high in Mumbai.

Petrol and diesel prices continue their upward surge, increasing by Rs 84 paise in Mumbai and by Rs 80 paise in Delhi.

In Mumbai, petrol now costs Rs 116.70 – an all-time high – while diesel is priced at Rs 100.93. Meanwhile, in Delhi, petrol and diesel currently cost Rs 101.81 and Rs 93.07 per litre, respectively. This has resulted in a Rs 6.40 per litre increase in the last 10 days.

Prices are different across the country as they vary depending on each state's taxation. 

Global oil prices

Crude oil prices have been fluctuating globally over the last few days and Thursday witnessed another drop – $5 per barrel (around Rs 390) – after news of the US government's plans to release 1 million barrels per day came to light.
