Skoda Slavia price in Shimoga

₹11.85 - ₹23.18 Lakh
On road price in
EMI starting at ₹17,215 /month

With 12 variants on offer, the on-road price of the Skoda Slavia in Shimoga in October 2026 takes into account necessary costs such as registration, insurance and other statutory charges. Without these, the base Slavia Classic MT is priced at Rs. 10.00 lakh (ex-showroom) in Shimoga, with its on-road price coming to Rs. 11.85 lakh once the earlier mentioned charges are applied.

Base variant, Classic MT: Rs. 11.85 lakh on-road in Shimoga.

Top variant, Monte Carlo DSG, the top Skoda Slavia with the 1.5-litre TSI engine, 7-speed DSG, 360-degree camera and rear-seat massage feature: Rs. 23.18 lakh on-road in Shimoga.

The 1.0 TSI automatic carries a premium over the equivalent manual, while the 1.5 TSI is offered only with the 7-speed DSG.

Best value pick: The Classic+ 1.0 TSI automatic is the cheapest way to get access to the new 8-speed automatic, alloy wheels and sunroof, and it’s priced below the mid-spec variant in the Slavia line-up.

An EMI of Rs. 17,215 against a loan of Rs. 10,70,000 is what financing the Classic MT comes to, a useful starting point before weighing whether a higher trim justifies the extra outlay. Spread across 12 variants encompassing the 1.0-litre and 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engines in manual and automatic form, the smarter approach is to shortlist the features that matter the most to you. Alongside that, also determine your importance for rear-seat comfort, the new automatic gearbox with the 1.0 TSI, or the top-spec 1.5 TSI DSG combination, before proceeding with a trim in Shimoga.

Skoda Slavia FAQs

The Slavia 1.0 TSI with the 8-speed automatic gearbox costs Rs 1 lakh more than the manual version on the Signature, Sportline and Prestige trims. The price difference goes up by Rs 1.5 lakh for the Classic+ trim. The base Classic is only available with the manual, while the top-spec Monte Carlo is available only with automatic gearbox options.

The new 8-speed automatic gearbox becomes available with the Classic+ trim onwards, which costs about Rs 2.50 lakh more than the base Classic trim with the 6-speed manual gearbox. Upgrading to this variant not only gets you the convenience of an automatic transmission but also the additional set of features that the Classic+ comes with.

Two days back, you guys had suggested me Kylaq Sportline AT. I was checking Slavia Classic+ AT and it is almost the same price. It has all the basic features that I need including infotainment and rear view camera that I can get installed either from outside or from the showroom itself. Is it a good idea?

Yes, the Skoda Slavia Classic+ AT is a very sensible alternative to the Kylaq Sportline AT. The Slavia offers a more spacious rear seat and a larger boot, making it a better choice if rear passenger comfort and practicality are priorities. The Kylaq, on the other hand, offers a higher driving position which some buyers prefer. What we aren't entirely comfortable with is an aftermarket infotainment system and rear view camera. While these feature add ons will enhance your experience with the car, improper fitment can be very frustrating. Further, aftermarket installations might void your warranty too. It's best to discuss terms with your dealer and opt for dealer fit accessories.

Hi, I am thinking of replacing Toyota Corolla (2006 model) with a car under the budget of Rs. 20 - 22 lakh. Which car do you suggest replacing the trustworthy Corolla with as it has served me very well. I am considering the VW Virtus/ Skoda Slavia, VW Taigun /Skoda Kushaq and Honda City Hybrid.

The Honda City Hybrid is the closest modern equivalent to your Corolla. It offers a similar ownership philosophy: reliable, comfortable, easy to live with and efficient. The hybrid system delivers excellent fuel economy in city driving, and Honda's long-term reliability record is strong. The only drawback is that the boot is smaller than the standard City due to the battery pack. The Skoda Slavia and VW Virtus are both excellent sedans with strong turbo petrol engines and good driving dynamics, but they do not offer the same ownership simplicity or efficiency as the City Hybrid. The Skoda Kushaq and VW Taigun are more practical and offer better ground clearance for Indian roads, but they are not as refined or as comfortable as the City Hybrid. However, the City Hybrid is expensive, and will fall outside of your Rs 22 lakh budget. If you're okay with that and sold on the city, you should go ahead. There is another car to consider, however, and that's the Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder Hybrid. Not only does it come from the same reliable house of Toyota, but it gets you the practicality of an SUV and also falls within your budget. Do note, however, that its rear seat is not as spacious as what you'll get in the City hybrid.

I am confused whether I should go with the Slavia 1.5 DSG facelift or the Duster 1.3 Turbo. Since 80% of my weekly driving (which is around 80 km) is in heavy Bengaluru city traffic. Will the Slavia's DSG clutch pose a reliability risk, or is the Duster a safer pick?

Both of these use dual-clutch automatics, but there’s an important difference for your driving. The Duster’s DCT uses wet clutches, which run in oil. The oil keeps them cool, so they cope much better with the constant creeping and slipping of stop-go traffic. The Slavia 1.5’s 7-speed DSG uses dry clutches, which have no oil cooling and can heat up in long, slow crawls. For Bengaluru traffic, that’s a real point in the Duster’s favour. The Duster is the better fit in other ways too. Renault has tuned its gearbox for smoothness rather than outright speed, and in our test it worked really well in city traffic. Its ride is one of the best in the segment, soaking up broken roads, and the higher seating position makes heavy traffic less stressful.Modern DSGs are far more dependable than the early ones that gave them a bad name, so the Slavia isn’t the risk it once was. But the 1.5 TSI is built for open roads, and at around 80km a week, mostly in traffic, you’d rarely enjoy what you’re paying extra for. If you still want the Slavia, look at the 1.0 TSI. It now comes with a new 8-speed torque-converter automatic, which takes the clutch question off the table entirely.

I currently own a Jeep Compass and want to get an additional car for my father, with good reliability, unlike the Jeep. My father still drives a 2008 Honda City, and I am torn between a few choices: the Honda City, Skoda Slavia, Nissan Tekton and Toyota Hyryder. Or should I wait for the Virtus facelift or the new-generation Creta? His usage is low, at almost 500 km per month. Please suggest.

With just 500km a month, petrol is the clear choice, and reliability and ease of ownership become the most important factors. The Honda City is the safest recommendation here. It is a proven product with a strong reliability record, a comfortable ride and a familiar ownership experience that your father will appreciate, especially coming from a 2008 City. The Skoda Slavia and Volkswagen Virtus are both excellent to drive, but the 1.0 TSI engine can feel a bit laggy at low speeds, and the 1.5 TSI is overkill for this kind of usage. The Nissan Tekton is a good value proposition, but engines are not responsive at low speeds and Nissan's service network is not as strong as Honda's, which matters more for a low-running, long-term ownership scenario. The Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder is a solid option if you specifically want an SUV, but the hybrid premium does not make financial sense at this running, and the naturally aspirated petrol is not as refined as the City's engine. The new-generation Hyundai Creta is worth waiting for only if your father specifically wants an SUV; otherwise, the City remains the more sensible choice. Overall, the Honda City is the most reliable, comfortable and hassle-free option for your father's usage.

I just read that Slavia facelift is coming with new 8-speed automatic. Between the new Slavia and Virtus, which one would you pick if buying a sedan now?
