Nissan X-Trail

The Nissan X Trail in India is positioned as a premium SUV that offers buyers three rows with seating for up to 7. Built on the CMF C platform, the X Trail ex showroom price is between ₹49.92 lakh and ₹49.92 lakh. X Trail rivals are Jeep Meridian, MG Gloster, Skoda Kodiaq, Toyota Fortuner and Volkswagen Tiguan.

While the Nissan X Trail sales in India have been historically inconsistent, the fourth generation model was introduced in July 2024 as a CBU import. Similar to most of its competitors, the X Trail is a unibody car with front wheel drive being its primary drive configuration. Buyers can expect the Nissan X Trail mileage of 13.7 kmpl.

Nissan X Trail design and interior

The X-Trail’s front is dominated by the Nissan V-Motion grille, sleek LED DRLs, rectangular LED headlights, functional air curtains and satin-finish bumper trim. The front and rear overhangs are considerable, but there are also satin roof bars, black body cladding and 20-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels, which give the X-Trail a planted stance.

The bulky-looking rear bumper gets chunky plastic cladding and a satin finish, too. A sculpted tailgate, ‘boomerang-shaped’ taillights, and a roof spoiler wrap up the X-Trail’s exterior highlights.

Inside the Nissan X-Trail, there is space for up to 7 people across three rows of seats. But this limits the boot capacity to just 177 litres, which can be expanded to 585 litres with the last row folded down. There are hard plastics in this cabin, though there are soft-touch materials and comfortable cloth-covered seats too. Moreover, the X-Trail’s interior offers plenty of storage in the centre console area.
