The Compass is Jeep’s entry-level model in our market and has been doing decently on the sales charts. However, the SUV is now seeing an increasing level of competition. This, along with a need to clear inventory of older models, has prompted dealers to offer large discounts and benefits on 2018 models of the Compass. Discounts are available on all variants and both engine options, barring the base Sports and the top-spec Limited Plus trims.

The table below has the variant-wise discounts available on the Jeep Compass:

The Compass is a rival to the likes of the Hyundai Tucson and VW Tiguan, though undercuts both models on price. It is available with three engine and transmission combinations – a 163hp, 1.4-litre turbo-petrol with 6-speed manual and 7-speed dual-clutch automatic options and a 173hp, 2.0-litre diesel engine with a 6-speed manual. Jeep offers an all-wheel-drive system with the diesel engine only.

When the more hardcore version of the Compass arrives this year, called the Compass Trailhawk, the SUV’s India line-up will finally have the option of a diesel-automatic combination. The brand had also recently launched a mid-spec petrol-automatic variant for the Compass, the 1.4 MultiAir Longtitude (O)
