2024 Mercedes-Benz GLA facelift: what to expect

We got our first look at the GLA facelift in May 2023 and noticed that most of the design changes will be seen at the nose. There’s LED lighting all around and the wheel arches are now painted the same colour as the car’s exterior, replacing the black plastic on the outgoing car. Changes to the cabin are minimal, though the GLA facelift does get an updated MBUX infotainment system, with interior ambient lighting and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

The current 163hp, 1.3-litre turbo-petrol and 190hp, 2.0-litre diesel engines are expected to continue unchanged. Expect GLA facelift prices in the region of Rs 45 lakh-49 lakh, ex-showroom, India. There’s no word yet on whether the performance-oriented AMG-badged GLA 35 4Matic will also arrive, but it is likely at a later date.

2024 Mercedes-AMG GLE 53 Coupe facelift: what to expect

Mercedes-Benz took the wraps off the refreshed GLE Coupe almost 11 months ago, and its standard SUV sibling launched in India at the beginning of November 2023. In terms of design, the GLE and GLE Coupe’s front-ends are near-identical, but it’s at the side and rear that the swooping roofline on the SUV-coupe is visible. Like the pre-facelift model, the GLE Coupe for India will only be available in hardcore AMG form, with a 53 moniker.

This means, is expected to be powered by a 435hp, 3.0-litre turbo-petrol engine with a 48V mild-hybrid assist that adds 22hp. The 9-speed automatic and 4Matic AWD system are also expected to remain, indicating that the pre-facelift model’s 0-100kph time of 5.3 seconds is also likely to be unchanged. Mercedes-AMG GLE 53 Coupe 4Matic+ prices are expected to be around Rs 1.3 crore, ex-showroom, India).
