Mercedes-Benz will launch the GLC Electric in India on November 4, 2026. The electric SUV will be assembled at the manufacturer’s Chakan plant in Pune and, according to Mercedes-Benz, will become the fastest global model to arrive in India as a locally assembled vehicle, just six months after sales began in Europe. In India, the GLC Electric will be offered in the 400 4Matic guise, with bookings set to open in October.

Will get dual electric motors producing 490hp and 800Nm
The Mercedes-Benz GLC Electric 400 4Matic is available internationally with a 94kWh battery pack and a claimed WLTP range of 715km. Its dual-motor all-wheel-drive (AWD) setup produces a combined 490hp and 800Nm, enabling the 2.5-tonne SUV to accelerate from 0-100kph in a claimed 4.3 seconds.
