The Mahindra XUV700 turbo-petrol and diesel AX7 and AX7 L variants have received a price cut. However, the newly launched XUV700 Ebony Edition, only available in the AX7 and AX7 L variants, does not get a price cut.
- XUV700 diesel AX7 automatic price cut by Rs 45,000
- Diesel AX7 L variants price slashed by Rs 75,000
- Turbo-petrol AX7 and AX7 L trims have similar cuts; none for manual
Pricing for all other XUV700 variants remain the same, although Mahindra has announced up to 3 percent price hike for its entire model range starting next month.
Mahindra XUV700 diesel price cut
The XUV700 AX7 diesel automatic 6- and 7-seat variants and the all-wheel drive version of the latter have received a Rs 45,000 price cut. All five AX7 L trims, barring the Ebony Editions, see a Rs 75,000 price drop.
Diesel-automatic develops 30Nm more torque
Mahindra offers a 2.0-litre turbo-diesel engine in these XUV700 variants, which is good for 185hp and 420Nm when paired with the 6-speed manual gearbox; the 6-speed torque converter auto's torque is 450Nm.

No price drops for petrol-manual variants
Only four trims of the 2.0-litre turbo-petrol XUV700 AX7 and AX7 L get a price reduction. The AX7 automatic 6- and 7-seat variants see price cuts of Rs 45,000, while 6- and 7-seat versions of the AX7 L automatic are Rs 75,000 cheaper. Unlike the diesel variants, the turbo-petrol manuals don’t get any price reductions.
The XUV700 turbo-petrol develops 200hp and 380Nm, and can be had with either a 6-speed manual or 6-speed torque converter auto.
There wouldn’t be any further updates to the XUV700 lineup this year. The recently launched XUV700 Ebony Edition was the last model intervention before a mid-lifecycle facelift arrives in due course.
