2026 Hyundai Verna new features

At the front, the 2026 Verna gets new projector LED headlights and a dark chrome grille.

On the outside, the Verna receives a new black chrome grille, projector LED headlights, slightly refreshed bumpers and 16-inch alloy wheels. Hyundai has also added two new exterior colour options: Classy Blue and Titan Grey Matte.

The rear section features a new silver-finished trim for the bumper.

However, the biggest feature upgrade has to be Boss mode functionality for the front passenger seat, which the Honda, Volkswagen and Skoda rivals do not offer. The driver's seat also gets a memory function and the front passenger seat now offers powered adjustment. A new steering wheel with the brand's 'H' logo in Morse code, a design element that's also present on the Ioniq 5 and the Creta Electric, has been added.

The interior gets a new sterring wheel, Boss mode and powered front passenger seat.

Notably, the driver's display and touchscreen continue to measure 10.25 inches each. Hyundai hasn’t equipped the Verna with the dual 12.3-inch screens seen on the Hyundai Venue, likely because the sedan's platform does not support the newer Nvidia-based electrical and electronic (E&E) architecture.

7 airbags offered only on the top-spec Verna; rest variants get 6 airbags as standard.

In terms of safety, the Verna's top trim now offers 7 airbags (another segment first); other variants come with 6 airbags as standard. A 360-degree and a built-in dashcam are also part of the package.

As before, the Verna continues to offer 115hp, 144Nm 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol and 160hp, 253Nm 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine options. A 6-speed manual transmission is standard with both engines. The NA motor can also be optioned with a CVT unit, while the more powerful turbocharged engine offers the choice of a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox.

With these upgrades, the base-spec Verna has become pricier by Rs 18,000, while the top-end variant costs Rs 1.1 lakh more.
