Second midsize SUV from Maruti Suzuki.

Following 2022's Grand Vitara, the Victoris marks Maruti Suzuki’s second contender for the highly popular midsize SUV space. Therefore, the Victoris rivals the likes of the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder, MG Astor, Honda Elevate and the Grand Vitara.

e Vitara influence is apparent in Victoris’ styling.

The Victoris sports a newer design language that draws inspiration from the upcoming Maruti Suzuki e Vitara electric SUV. Up front, the Victoris gets chunky LED headlights bridged by a slim grille cover with a chrome strip, thick plastic cladding, and a silver skid plate.

Over to the side, the SUV gets 17-inch alloy wheels, blacked-out pillars, silver roof rails, and more squared-off body cladding. Lastly, a segmented LED light bar and 'VICTORIS' lettering take prominence at the rear.

Inside, the Victoris is quite different to the Grand Vitara thanks to its more tech-focused dashboard design. A large 10.1-inch infotainment touchscreen sits atop the dash, with a digital driver’s display and three-spoke steering wheel on the right.

Victoris features list is packed.

Coming to features, the Victoris offers wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, an 8-speaker sound system with Dolby Atmos, ventilated front seats, 64-colour ambient lighting, connected car tech, leatherette upholstery, automatic climate control, a panoramic sunroof, a wireless charger, an 8-way electrically adjustable driver’s seat, a heads-up display, cabin air filter, powered tailgate, and more.

The Victoris’ safety suite comprises six airbags, ABS with EBD, traction control, brake assist, hill hold control, ISOFIX child seat anchorages, and more as standard. Higher variants also get a 360-degree camera, tyre pressure monitoring system, and as a first for a Maruti model, Level 2 ADAS. Moreover, the Victoris has a 5-star Bharat NCAP crash safety rating.

Petrol, strong hybrid and CNG options.

Under the hood, the Victoris is nigh-on identical to the Grand Vitara. It offers three core powertrains: a 103hp, 1.5-litre, 4-cylinder mild hybrid petrol engine; a 116hp, 1.5-litre, 3-cylinder strong hybrid setup; and an 89hp, 1.5-litre petrol-CNG option. Notably, Maruti Suzuki has relocated the CNG tank to the underbody, which frees up boot space.

Gearbox options comprise a 5-speed manual and 6-speed torque converter auto for the petrol engine, an e-CVT for the strong hybrid, and a 5-speed manual for the CNG variants. Victoris buyers will also have the option of all-wheel drive with the petrol-auto configuration.

All prices are ex-showroom, India.
