Kia has rejigged the Syros compact SUV’s variant lineup once again for MY2026, making a few features more accessible than before, introducing more affordable diesel-automatic variants, and also thrown in a couple of visual updates. Prices for the Kia Syros now start from Rs 8.40 lakh (ex-showroom), bringing down the entry-price by Rs 27,000 from before.

2026 Kia Syros: rejigged variant lineup?
The biggest update is to the Syros’ variant lineup. The updated compact SUV is now offered in seven trims: HTE, HTE (O), HTK (EX), HTK+, HTK+(O), HTX and HTX (O). Of these, HTE, HTE(O), HTK+(O) and HTX(O) are new, whereas the previously offered HTK, HTK(O), HTX+ and HTX+(O) trims have been discontinued. 2026 Kia Syros: new visual updates
Kia has also updated the Syros’ front and rear bumpers with new body-coloured, trapezoidal inserts. Additionally, the skid plates, which were previously finished in silver, now come finished in gloss-black, and the higher-spec trims also get new LED fog lamps and a high-mounted LED stop-lamp at the rear. The blacked-out treatment has also been extended to the wing mirror caps and the roof rails, and the 17-inch alloy wheels on the HTX and HTX(O) trims now get a new design and neon brake callipers. Kia has also added three new colours as part of this MY2026 update, namely Magma Red, Ivory Silver Matte and Ivory Silver Gloss.
Although no new features have been added, Kia says it has rejigged the equipment list to now offer more comfort and convenience features on the lower and mid-spec trims of the compact SUV.
Kia Syros powertrain options
There are no changes to the powertrain lineup. It continues with the 120hp, 172Nm 1.0-litre turbo-petrol that’s offered with either a 6-speed MT or a 7-speed DCT, and the 116hp, 250Nm 1.5-litre diesel engine that comes with a 6-speed MT or a 6-speed AT. However, the diesel-automatic powertrain is now more affordable as its now offered on the HTK+ and HTK+(O) trims, bringing down the diesel-AT’s entry price by Rs 3.20 lakh.
The Kia Syros locks horns with sub-4m SUVs such as the Hyundai Venue, Tata Nexon, Maruti Suzuki Brezza, Mahindra XUV 3XO, Skoda Kylaq and Kia Sonet.
