Honda XR300 Rally
The Honda XR300 Rally is an adventure motorcycle based on the same platform as the XR300L. It uses a 293.5cc air- and oil-cooled engine closely related to the unit used in the Honda CB300F. International-spec versions of this engine produce around 24.3hp and 26.5Nm.
The XR300 Rally is the more touring-focused version of the XR300L. It gets a larger fuel tank, taller windscreen, knuckle guards and rally-inspired bodywork. It also gets a 5-inch TFT display and more comprehensive switchgear for its additional functions. The motorcycle uses a 21-inch front and 18-inch rear wire-spoke wheel setup. It also gets a different tyre tread pattern from the XR300L, giving it a more off-road-focused setup.
Honda has opened bookings for the XR300 Rally in India, with deliveries set to begin after the detailed specifications are announced. The motorcycle will be sold through Honda BigWing dealerships.

Honda XR300 Rally FAQs
The Honda XR300 Rally is more expensive than the Honda XR300L. The Rally variant commands a higher price tag due to its added rally-inspired bodywork, wind protection, and touring-focused setup compared to the simpler standard dual-sport layout of the XR300L.
Honda Dakar-inspired styling is a design aesthetic modelled after Honda's championship-winning desert racing motorcycles, such as the historic NXR750 and modern CRF450 Rally. It features functional, rugged off-road elements adapted for production adventure and dual-sport motorcycles like the Honda CRF300L Rally.
The Honda XR300 Rally is expected to launch in India between October and December 2026, with industry reports pointing specifically toward a November 2026 arrival.
Questions you may find useful
I’m looking for an adventure-segment bike and have been eyeing the Hero Xpulse 210. I recently heard that Honda is planning to launch the CB300 Rally, so should I wait for it? I’ll primarily use the bike for a daily commute of around 10-20 km and occasional weekend long rides, mostly around the city and nearby areas. Given my relatively low daily running, should I increase my budget and consider the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 or KTM 390 Adventure for the occasional longer rides? Which bike would be the best choice for my requirements?
The Hero Xpulse 210 makes more sense since your daily run is quite limited and long rides are few and far between. This Hero bikes has more than enough performance for both city riding and gentle highway cruising, and will keep you comfortable over the worst of our roads. However, we would advise you to wait for the Honda XR300 Rally because it promises similiar performance and capability with the backing of a Japanese giant. Once the XR is out, take a test ride and see if you gel with it or if the Xpulse makes more sense for you, before you go ahead with your purchase.
