Given that you have experience dealing with the Royal Enfield sales and service network, your ownership of the Guerrilla should also be fairly straightforward and trouble-free. If you want a twin-cylinder experience, then the Aprilia Tuono 457 special edition should be on your radar. The Tuono has sublime handling, a characterful engine that belts out a lovely soundtrack and its also a fairly uncommon sight on our roads, giving you an air of exclusivity. Since you have listed long-distance capability and off-road fun as some of your priorities, that in itself rules out the sporty Aprilia Tuono 457 and the heavy Royal Enfield Bear 650 (at least to some extent). The 349cc/398cc KTM Adventure models are a better fit for your brief, and we'd wholeheartedly recommend spending the extra cash and going for whichever 398cc variant you like because the 349cc version just feels a little too boring to ride and has quite a bit of vibration too. Honestly, we'd recommend you also consider the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 because, while the Himalayan isn't the best at any particular aspect, the way it comes together as a package is quite commendable, and if you don't mind its extra weight, it can make for a wonderful companion. Take test rides of both the Himalayan and 390 Adventure before you make up your mind.

Since you already have a relaxed bike in the garage with your X440, we'd recommend you look at something sporty - specifically, the KTM 390 Duke R and Aprilia Tuono 457. The 390 Duke R is a proven product, and if you want a thrilling machine with good cycle parts, it doesn't get much better than the 390 at this price point. Of course, you'll have to deal with some amount of vibrations and the fact that the Duke is quite a cramped machine for taller riders. The Tuono 457 offers a more polished riding experience thanks to its twin-cylinder engine, which is one of the biggest reasons to buy one. It is smooth at almost any rpms, makes a great sound and has plenty of punch almost everywhere. Its handling is also sublime, but it does come at the cost of a stiff ride over broken roads. There's also the fact that the Aprilia 457cc engine doesn't have a stellar reputation for reliability, and the company's sales and service network is quite small. Aprilia's service is also expensive and not always friction-free. The Duke is definitely the safer buy of the two, although if your nearest Aprilia dealer can give you some reassurances on the ownership front, the Tuono 457 is a machine that will keep you happy for a long time to come.

Sadly, the Yamaha R3 has been discontinued in India and the company hasn't confirmed if or when the updated model will be coming to our shores. Therefore, the Royal Enfield 650s are your best bet if you want a twin-cylinder experience. Specifically, the Interceptor is a tried and tested product which should be characterful and reasonably comfortable for road usage. Bear in mind that the Interceptor is a heavy bike with its wide engine splaying the Rider's feet out, so if you're on the shorter side of the spectrum, you might struggle to flat foot it. You could also look at the Aprilia Tuono 457 if you want something sporty but still usable on the road. Aprilia's 457cc engine hasn't had the best reputation for reliability though and we'd recommend you tread lightly and make no modifications inside the warranty period on this bike.
