TVS has launched a new graphic scheme on its Star City Plus called the Kargil edition. The bike is based on the SBT (Synchronised Braking Technology) variant of the Star City Plus. At Rs 54,399, the bike costs Rs 1,035 over the Rs 53,364 price of the dual-tone SBT variant of the Star City Plus.

TVS has said the bike’s design has been influenced by the environment defence personnel serve in. Last year, it conducted a ‘Kargil Calling - Ride for the Real Stars’ ride across 3,500 touch points in the country. The ride took place on the anniversary of the Kargil Vijay Diwas (July 26) to celebrate the contribution of the Indian Defence Forces and was lead by similarly styled, Kargil-inspired Star City Plus bikes in five cities.

The Star City Plus is powered by a 109.7cc engine that makes 8.4hp and 8.7Nm of torque, and the Kargil edition will be available in select dealerships across the country.

TVS Apache RTR 160 4V ABS priced from Rs 92,645

The carburetted and fuel-injected variants, both, have been equipped with the safety feature.
