While every other EV manufacturer has increased the price of its products due to the new EMP scheme, IPO-bound Ola Electric has bucked that trend and reduced the prices of its S1 X line-up.

  1. Ola prices now start at Rs 69,999
  2. S1 X deliveries slated to begin next week

Ola S1 range price, delivery details

The S1 X range was already priced very competitively but Ola Electric has doubled down on that approach. The S1 X 2kWh variant is priced at Rs 69,999 (introductory), down from the earlier Rs 79,999. The S1 X 3kWh variant is priced at Rs 84,999 now (down from Rs 89,999). Even the range-topping S1 X 4kWh variant has seen a price reduction and now commands Rs 99,999 (compared to the earlier asking price of Rs 1.10 lakh). Deliveries for the S1 X line-up will begin next week onwards.

Meanwhile, prices for the S1 X+, S1 Air and S1 Pro have remained absolutely unchanged. To recap, the S1 X+ is priced at Rs 84,999, the S1 Air is priced at Rs 1.05 lakh, while the S1 Pro is priced at Rs 1.30 lakh. All of these e-scooters come with an 8-year warranty as standard.

All prices ex-showroom, Bengaluru.

What do you think about E85 fuel’s Rs 82.12/litre price in India?

Good - Rs 20/litre cheaper than E20 is a big advantage
Bad - it should have been priced even lower
Doesn’t matter - there aren’t enough E85-compatible vehicles yet
