Okinawa has just launched the PraisePro at Rs 71,990 (ex-showroom, India). The new e-scooter is the third Praise variant, and sits in the line-up as a more-affordable version of the i-Praise.

The PraisePro comes equipped with a 2kWh removable lithium-ion battery and a 1kW Brushless DC electric motor (BLDC). Okinawa has said that this motor is waterproof, but hasn’t mentioned its IP code yet. The motor has a peak power figure of 2.5kW and three riding modes – Economy (limited to 30-35kph), Sport (limited to 50-60kph) and Turbo (allowed to hit 65-70kph).

As for its range, in Sport mode the scooter has an ARAI-claimed range of 88km and 110km in Economy mode. The charge time, meanwhile, is said to be 2-3hr in ‘ideal test conditions’. The charger the scooter comes equipped with is compatible with a conventional home socket. The removable battery and the direct charging port on the scooter, both use the same charger.

Suspension on the PraisePro is handled by a telescopic fork and twin shocks, while braking is taken care of by disc brakes at either end. The e-scooter rides on Ceat-branded 90/90-12 tyres, front and rear. As you’d expect of an electric scooter, lighting is taken care of by LEDs all around.

Other features of the Okinawa PraisePro include an alarm, find my scooter function, USB charging point and walk assist (front and rear). The walk assist allows the rider to easily push out the scooter of an uneven park, thanks to the motor automatically moving the scooter at 5kph.

The Okinawa PraisePro is available in two colours – Glossy Red Black and Glossy Sparkle Black.
