The Flying Flea C6 is unlike any other Royal Enfield. Inspired by the original Flying Flea used during World War II, it has a compact and distinctive design that may not appeal to everyone. However, the engineering behind it is impressive. The bike uses a forged aluminium exoskeleton frame, aluminium swingarm and a unique girder front suspension, while the battery casing is made from lightweight magnesium alloy. These parts help keep the weight low and give the motorcycle a premium feel. Build quality is generally excellent, although a few plastic switchgear parts and some bolts could have had a better finish.
8
Despite its compact appearance, the C6 offers enough room for taller riders. The riding position is natural and comfortable for city use. The suspension provides a plush ride over most road surfaces, making daily commutes pleasant. However, the seat is not very comfortable on longer rides, and the 823mm seat height may feel tall for some riders. The pillion seat is small, and the footpegs are mounted on the swingarm, which affects passenger comfort.
8
The C6's electric motor delivers smooth and lively performance. It accelerates quickly, reaches a top speed of around 115kph and remains responsive even as the battery charge drops. There are four riding modes along with a custom mode that lets riders adjust power delivery and regenerative braking. The 3.91kWh battery has a claimed range of 154km, but real-world range depends heavily on riding style. Riding aggressively can reduce the range to around 60–70km, while gentle city riding can achieve close to 100km. The onboard 2kW charger is convenient as it plugs directly into a regular wall socket.
8
The C6 feels light, agile and easy to ride. The girder fork takes some time to get used to, but it works well and offers good ride quality. The motorcycle remains stable and comfortable over most roads. Braking performance is strong, although the rear ABS can activate quite easily because of the regenerative braking system.
8
The C6 is the most technologically advanced Royal Enfield yet. It comes with cornering ABS, traction control, a 3.5-inch touchscreen TFT display, riding modes, keyless operation, smartphone connectivity and a built-in wireless charging compartment for phones. It also offers an optional Incognito mode that prevents the bike from sharing riding data with the company. While the display is clear, the menu system can be slow and the switchgear is not the easiest to use.
9
Flying Flea C6 is aimed at buyers looking for something unique rather than a conventional electric motorcycle. Its design, limited range and niche appeal may not suit everyone. Overall, it is a strong first step into the EV space for Royal Enfield and showcases the company's engineering capabilities.
