India got the first glimpse of what Royal Enfield’s approach to an EV would look like with the Flying Flea C6. Launched in April this year, the C6 is inspired by the WWII-era Flying Flea only in the way it looks, but gained many brand-first features like traction control, customisable riding modes, lean-sensitive ABS, among other things. Now, it’s Europe and the UK’s turn, because the C6 is heading there next.

  1. Flying Flea is Royal Enfield’s EV brand, and C6 the first product
  2. C6 has a claimed 154km range in India; 104km in Europe

Flying Flea C6 heads to five cities in Europe

Indian availability remains limited to Bengaluru

Just to jog your memory, Flying Flea is Royal Enfield’s EV brand, and the C6 was their first launch. The brand’s website continues to list the scrambler-looking S6 that’s based on the same platform, but the launch timeline on that is still unknown. The motorcycle is powered by a PMS Motor with a peak power of 15.4kW and a 3.91kWh battery; the claimed IDC range for India is 154km. For Europe and the UK, the claimed WMTC claimed range is 104km, with no changes to the specifications or features. It remains to be seen whether there’s a difference in real-world range, or if the difference is solely due to the two markets using different testing standards.

To commemorate the launch, Royal Enfield has introduced a new Parachute White colour that’s also available in India at the same Rs 2.79 lakh price (ex-showroom, Bengaluru). Speaking of which, in Europe, the C6 will set you back by EUR 5,990 (Rs 6.58 lakh), and in the UK, the asking price is GBP 5,300 (Rs 6.78 lakh) for all three colours; the other two being Flea Green and Storm Black. To begin with, the C6 will be available in a total of five cities: Paris, London, Berlin, Barcelona and Rome; deliveries expected to begin in October. In India, the C6 is still only available for purchase in Bengaluru.
